SAW INTROVERSION

AS A BARRIER

TO LEADERSHIP.

Why does self-promotion feel so so cringey? Because it is!

It’s bragging; to introverts, bragging feels like nails on a chalkboard. But is it bragging if you can back it up? Being smart and strategic to ensure people know who you are and what you’ve achieved is called taking control of your career.

I’ve watched many of my introverted clients struggle. They did great work, but rather than taking credit or ensuring key leaders knew of their achievements — they kept their heads down, hoping someone would notice and reward them.

That is a terrible career strategy. And another terrible idea is to listen to all the advice that’s out there telling introverts – if you only acted more extroverted, all would be right in the world. Total B.S!

This is not about faking it or pretending to be someone or something you’re not. Don’t waste your time! What you need to do – is OWN your strengths and spend as much time talking about WHAT you’re achieving as you spend doing it.

Easy? Nope!
